Samuel T. Adams won a Schwinn bicycle at a 3rd Grade fair raffle. When the local paper showed up to document the event, Adams' eyes were swollen shut due to hay fever.
He finished his 8th Grade Geometry class with an A+, having aced nearly every test, plus solving the bonus questions. He received an award, then subsequently received a C+ in Algebra the following year.
